Morgan played a female character as a woman in the AIDS prevention and education video Safe Sex for Men and Women. The profits from this film were given towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is also a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the leader of numerous fund-raising efforts to combat the disease and testified to the Congressional Special Committee on AIDS Education. She sits on the board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett Koop's former assistant surgeon general asked her from time to time to be his substitute during AIDS awareness events. Additionally, she was host of the AIDS Awareness Special presented by Steve Bell. She has appeared twice on Nightline alongside Ted Koppell regarding AIDS. Morgan was nominated for an Emmy for her performance in the Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. In the spring of this year, Morgan starred alongside Joan Rivers as Your Money or Your Wife on ABC television. In the following week, she kicked off her season of summer with Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. It also featured Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. Morgan's next production took her to Luxembourg to star in Harmony Gold's production of Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady that also featured Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan has also appeared in the psychological thriller "The Leading Lady" that was exclusively produced for USA Network. This thriller garnered the best ratings of all time for the network.
